摘要: Cyclitols play a particularly important role in cell functioning because they are involved ion channel physiology, phosphate storage, signal transduction, wall formation, membrane biogenesis, osmoregulation and have antioxidant activity. They the membranes as phosphatidyl myo-inositol, an inositol triphosphate precursor, which acts transmitter that regulates activity of several hormones, such follicle-stimulating hormone, thyrotropin, insulin. The aim this paper is to characterize selected cyclitols: D-chiro-inositol, D-pinitol type-2 metabolic syndrome diabetes treatment. Results discussion: certain clinical applications treatment syndromes considered be option dietary supplement for or prevention gestational mellitus diabetes. Improved parameters observed after using cyclitols, like polycystic ovary suggest may protective effect on cardiovascular system. Pinitol, together with myo-inositol,maybe responsible improving lipid profiles by reducing serum triglyceride total cholesterol. Pinitol also well-researched documented insulin-like effects. Myo-inositol, indicate number therapeutic health-promoting properties.
