摘要: Recent advances in graphics processing unit (GPU) have enabled direct volume rendering at interactive rates. However, although perspective for opaque isosurface is rapidly performed using conventional GPU-based method, non-opaque such as translucency still slow. In this paper, we propose an efficient acceleration technique of fast ray casting computed tomography (CT) colonography. The empty space searching step separated from the shading and compositing steps, they are divided into separate passes GPU. Using multi-pass acceleration, leaping exactly voxel level rather than block level, so that efficiency maximized colon data set, which has many curved or narrow regions. addition, numbers steps fixed, additional leapings between walls to increase computational further near haustral folds. Experiments were illustrate proposed scheme compared with been known be fastest algorithm. experimental results showed speed our method was 7.72fps 1024x1024 colonoscopy image, about 3.54 times faster method. Since fully optimized any kind inner shapes, frame-rate variations two smaller guarantee smooth navigation. could successfully applied help diagnose cancer virtual colonoscopy.
