摘要: This paper investigates the relationship between vehicle free flow speed and geometric variables on urban street segments. Geometric spot data were collected from 35 different two lane segments located in Fairfax County Virginia. To gain a better understanding of relationships variables, visualized descriptive statistics computed. In addition to this, linear regression models developed estimate mean roadside 85th percentile variables. The results showed significant impact posted limit speed. predicted at sites with 45 mph was found be 5 8 higher than 40 respectively. other factors affecting presence or absence median spacing signals.
