摘要: In recent years, a striking development has been achieved in marine biomaterials for bone tissue repair. Marine sources have proven to be non-polluting and versatile biomedical applications. Bone engineering is promising alternative treating ailments caused due trauma surgical intrusions. Biocomposites comprise of biodegradable biocompatible materials mimic the architecture support regeneration. Significant are fish, invertebrates, fungi, corals, etc. defects treated using biocomposite polymers such as chitosan, collagen, alginate, gelatin, ceramics. Chitosan anti-microbial bioactive; hydroxyapatite collagen significant constituents bone, alginate boosts mechanical strength structural integrity biocomposites. This chapter accounts source types from fauna, fabrication scaffolds their biological activity enhancing repair vitro vivo.
