摘要: The living species distributed in the American continent belonging to family Mesodesmatidae Gray, 1840 are redescribed this chapter. Two valid genera recognized. genus Mesodesma Deshayes, 1832 In Bruguiere et al., 1789–1832 includes three species. They M. (Mesodesma) donacium (Lamarck, 1818), (Ceronia) arctatum (Conrad, 1831) and deauratum (Turton, 1822). Finally, Amarilladesma Huber, 2010, recently described, Southwestern Atlantic A. mactroides (Reeve, 1854c).
