摘要: Mathematical simulations are of increasing relevance for applications in engineering and the life sciences. Disciplines like epidemiology, biomechanics, medical image processing, just to name a few, subject academic research since decades. With modern numerical methods advent computing power not biological systems within reach, but also questions optimizing aim at certain goal can be addressed. In this paper, we will discuss some examples from epidemiology as well biomechanical models muscles. All these based on set differential equations. Defining suitable cost functional measure distance our optimization, mathematical tools constrained optimization applied solve problems derive algorithms.
