摘要: Abstract Clindamycin and cefoxitin with or without gentamicin were administered to cancer patients having localized infections presumably caused by anaerobic pathogens. The rates of favorable response 89% in receiving clindamycine alone 78% alone. When the total experience is considered (clindamycin gentamicin), 20 24 (83%) responded clindamycin 18 22 (82%) cefoxitin. Both therapies well tolerated. Clindamycin was found be more effective than eradicating offending pathogens from site infection. Aerobic frequently isolated along anaerobes infectious sites this series; their susceptibility resistance did not influence therapeutic response.
