摘要: The DNA of polyoma virus consists double-stranded supercoiled circular molecules. single-strand-specific nuclease S1 converts these molecules to unit length rods. conversion occurs in a two-step reaction, with cutting first one the two strands and then intact strand opposite this nick. Cleavage by is consequence supercoiling. containing random single-strand breaks introduced physical or enzymatic means are also cut nicks.
