摘要: Dermatologists perform several minor surgical procedures in their offices on a daily basis that result superficial cutaneous wounds. Conventionally, the approach to postoperative care for these wounds has been application of topical antibiotic ointment. In reality, this practice is based more perception and habit, not sound scientific evidence, especially regarding reduction infection rates risk adverse reactions. addition, routine use scenario may contribute emergence antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains, shown increase allergic contact dermatitis. With few new antibiotics development worldwide initiatives curb resistance progress, it important clinicians reevaluate standard wound used after office-based dermatologic procedures.
