摘要: Insects are equipped with various types of antennal sensilla, which house thermosensitive neurons adapted to receive different parameters the thermal environment for a variety temperature-guided behaviors. In leaf-cutting ant Atta vollenweideri, physiology and morphology sensillum coeloconicum (Sc) has been thoroughly investigated. However, central projections its receptor unknown. Here we selectively stained three found in single Sc tracked their axons into brain vollenweideri workers. Each terminates glomerulus lobe (Sc-glomeruli). Two innervated glomeruli adjacent each other located laterally, while third one is clearly separated medially lobe. Using two-photon Ca2+ imaging projection neurons, studied where information represented. 11 investigated lobes, up 10 specimen responding temperature stimulation. Both, warm- cold-sensitive could be identified. The were mainly medial part Based on general representation functional data Sc-glomeruli conclude that stimuli received by processed target glomeruli. present study reveals an important role processing links specific neuron glomerulus.
