摘要: The Eskisehir Fault Zone is one of the major neotectonic structures Turkey, extending from Inegol (Bursa) to Cihanbeyli (Konya). fault zone presents a considerable seismic risk for city but exact locations active segments and source event, 1956 earthquake (M = 6.5) that occurred in instrumental period (from 1900 2013), have been debated recent literature. structural data obtained field studies indicate an approximately N60W-trending main strand right lateral strike-slip Zone. This trend corresponds en echelon bends on course Sarisu River. Using this concurrence, positions Bahcehisar Cukurhisar-Sultandere are proposed checked by reflection studies. sections disclosing positive flower confirm hypothesized position segment. relocation epicenters focal mechanism solutions events 1956, 1990, 2010, 2013 segment might be rupture event possible potential could seriously affect settlement.
