摘要: Abstract Microencapsulated phase change materials (MEPCMs) have been used for thermal regulation in different systems. MEPCMs are sometimes produced with functional groups to ease applications. This study focused on preparation, characterization, and determination of properties microencapsulated n-octadecane poly(methyl methacrylate-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate-co-acrylamide) shell. P(MMA-co-EGDM-co-AAm)/ shell microcapsules were prepared 0.5%, 1%, 2% AAm contend make the outer surface functional. Ethylene dimethacrylate was as uniformity agent. Amide functionality is first time imported this study. The particle size, chemistry, photography, size distribution, storage property stability analyzed using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, polarized optical microscopy (POM), sizer distribution (PSD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), gravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques respectively. average melting freezing temperatures consistent pristine core material, n-octadecane, latent heats crystallization similar ratio recipe. Besides, found resistant degradation up 142 °C. results indicated that amide potential be a TES material.
