摘要: A solid nanocomposite particle composition for lithium metal or ion battery electrode applications. The comprises: (A) an active material in a form of fine particles, rods, wires, fibers, tubes with dimension smaller than 1 μm; (B) nano graphene platelets (NGPs); and (C) protective matrix reinforced by the NGPs; wherein are dispersed NGPs occupy weight fraction w g 1% to 90% total weight, occupies m at least 2% +w =1. For anode application, is preferably amorphous carbon, polymeric meso-phase carbon. Such provides high capacity good cycling stability. cathode resulting exhibits exceptionally cycle life.
