An application of the remote maintenance paradigm to semi-automated machines

摘要: The increasing need of fast maintenance on machines when issues arise, and the always-increasing globalization, requires companies to find new ways for assisting customers, which can be all over world, in a economic way. It is no longer possible send out technicians wherever needed because this intervention has large costs terms time money. If many solutions have been proposed context automated plants, still some research carried area semi-automated machines. In fact, behavior such could depend upon how operator uses it. This paper presents an application Mobile Internet Devices (MID) as tool remote maintenance, leveraging its connectivity sensors acquiring streams data, that sent vendor service center later inspected by highly qualified personnel.
