摘要: Bladder pain syndrome (BPS) is considered a frustrating and prevalent urological condition by both patients treating physicians. Pain voiding symptoms are cardinal of BPS strongly associated with intra- interpersonal difficulties that correspond to diminished quality life (QoL). Unfortunately, the biomedical model targeting possible mechanisms disease such as infection, inflammation, overactive bladder, organ centric has no advanced cure clinicians must consider where symptom management primary. Psychosocial factors have clear associations outcomes QoL (stress, social support, catastrophizing, sexual functioning, depression, abuse) suggesting biopsychosocial for necessary. Under model, physical psychosocial predictors important targets assessment treatment well new clinical research areas exploration.
