摘要: [1] Coastal regions are increasingly affected by larger storms and rising sea level predicted global warming models, aggravating the situation in city of Venice where tidal-induced seasonal flooding coupled with natural anthropogenic subsidence have been perennial problems. In light accelerated efforts to protect from rise we assess land Lagoon over last decade. Through a combined analysis GPS position time series 2001.55 2011.00 for four stations installed Magistrato alle Acque di Venezia thousands observations InSAR permanent scatterers using RADARSAT-1 images 2003.3 2007.85, determine that northern lagoon subsides at rate 2–3 mm/yr, whereas southern 3–4 mm/yr. The continues subside, 1–2 contrast geodetic studies decade 20th Century suggesting has stabilized. results indicate general eastward tilt related retreat Adriatic plate subducting beneath Apennines is least 0.4–0.6 Our demonstrates high spatial resolution vertical direction precision 0.1–0.2 mm/yr respect reference frame. Continued secure must also take into account significant local regional rates as well expected level.
