摘要: Abstract Single species populations and natural of phytoplankton were grown in mixtures surface sea water deep ocean water. The yields Phaeodactylum tricornutum the assemblages positively correlated with percentage mixture. Thalassiosira weissflogii Amphidinum sp. showed which per cent at low concentrations negatively high concentrations. Transition from positive to negative slope occurred about 75% for T. 25% Amphidinium. Populations apparently limited by an inorganic nutrient, probably nitrogen, region some other factor, organic, slope. addition EDTA increased Amphidinium presence reduced lag times growth populations.
