摘要: Among the Acalypha species, indica L. is predominantly one of herbs in waste lands throughout plains India. The leaves, root, stem and flowers are used traditional medicine. In present investigation, antibacterial activity A. by preliminary antibiotic assay screening was carried out. Ethylacetate, hexane methanol extracts from roots were investigated for their against three strains human pathogenic bacteria viz., Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus Klebsiella pneumoniae . Ethylacetate leaves appeared to be quite promising due capacity inhibit growth all selected bacterial species. Hexane root showed moderate activity. These results relation with antimicrobial vitro open way complementary investigation order identify purify active compounds. methods could provide needed observations necessary select among crude extracts, those potentially useful properties further chemical pharmacological investigations.
