摘要: The present study was performed on 356 and 413 alloys containing various amounts of hydrogen (H2), titanium diboride (TiB2) strontium (Sr). results show that the eutectic silicon particles in non-modified undergo coarsening during solutionizing treatment. A new mechanism, based Ostwald theory, has been proposed to explain observed phenomenon. Although variation melt treatment parameters no significant influence alloy hardness, it does have a great effect impact toughness. Best are obtained when is degassed, Sr-modified grain refined. Also, Sr-modified, degassed found possess good Precipitation Mg2Si phase more effective as hardening agent than Al2Cu precipitated alloy. increased Si content accelerates crack initiation propagation, leading low toughness values. Modifying with 200 ppm Sr even distribution spheroidized hence improves
