摘要: Bacteriophage CP-51, originally reported as a generalized transducing phage for Bacillus cereus and B. anthracis, has been shown to carry out transduction in several strains of thuringiensis. A newly isolated phage, CP-54, which broader host range than also mediates CP-51 CP-54 are similar size morphology related serologically, but they not identical. is more cold labile and, with its stability both at 0 15 degrees C enhanced by the presence 0.02 M Mg2+. Some examples cotransduction linked markers thuringiensis presented, demonstrating feasibility chromosomal mapping this organism. The rare occurrence cross-transduction among probably reflection nonhomology rather restriction, since itself did appear be restricted when grown on particular assayed other hosts indicator.
