Use of a Simple Appliance to Prevent Mucosal Irritation by the Distractor Rod during Vertical Distraction: Case Report.

摘要: Patient discomfort due to the excessive length of distractor rod is one disadvantages alveolar distraction osteogenesis. Although this seems be a minor complication, it can cause severe mucosal irritation on opposite arch, and uncontrolled forces lead loosening screws inactivation distractor. The purpose case report introduce an acrylic appliance that very useful in avoiding caused by long rod. simple, effective, easy fabricate.
