摘要: Occupational health and safety hazards in the extreme work environment of underground mines remained a serious concern for both mine management regulatory agency. Miners are often employed to perform different mining activities across always exposed risks such as lung cancer. With technology advancements, it is now possible keep track individuals their parameters. The current practice analysis periodic nature highly dependent on voluntary participation. Wearable sensing system an alternative solution overcome these challenges able provide insights miners’ conditions. Timely physiological parameters miners immensely helpful minimize injuries can also preventive measures potential hazards. In this paper, we propose wireless monitoring system, especially mines. contributions paper twofold. First, presents discusses our proposed architecture followed by context Second, preliminary analysis, detailed discussion link behavior reliable data transmission communication presented. We performed real-world experimental measurements operational coal considering several deployment settings straight, near face curved galleries. metrics (e.g., received signal strength packet reception rate) extensively evaluated.
