摘要: A series of crosslinked polymer electrolyte membranes were prepared by blending cellulose and sulfosuccinic acid (SA) for fuel cell applications. The crosslinking reaction occurred via the esterification between –OH –COOH SA, as confirmed FT-IR spectroscopy. Both ion exchange capacity proton conductivity increased in proportion to increase SA concentrations due increasing portion charged groups membrane. In contrast, water uptake linearly up 25 wt.% concentration, above which it decreased abruptly. maximum behavior may be a result competitive effect number ionic sites degree with concentrations. Wide angle X-ray scattering also showed that crystalline structures disappeared upon introduction SA. mechanical properties cellulose/SA membranes, i.e., tensile strength at break Young’s modulus, 15 revealed universal testing machine. These exhibited good thermal stability 250 °C, gravimetric analysis.
