摘要: Growing evidence suggests the involvement of glutamate in mood disorders and response to antidepressants. However, there is no information regarding a hypothesized sex-dependent glutamatergic modulation following treatment animal models depression. We comparatively assayed male female Flinders control Sprague-Dawley rats aspartate tissue levels prefrontal cortex, hippocampus nucleus accumbens 14-day with either 10mg/kg clomipramine or mirtazapine, intraperitoneally. Clomipramine increased cortical both sexes hippocampal only rodents. Mirtazapine had effect on content but sexes. Neither mirtazapine nor altered accumbens. There were any significant differences levels. SD significantly decreased Our results indicate that two different types established antidepressants induce brain region-specific content. This also characterized by mainly hippocampus, highlighting differentiated distinct
