摘要: The primary purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive review on the response time magnetorheological (MR) dampers. Rapid desired for all real-time control applications. In reviewing literature, detailed description semi-active dampers seldom given. Furthermore, methods computing are not discussed in detail. authors intend develop method definition and experimental determination MR parameters affecting investigated. Specifically, effect operating current, piston velocity, system compliance addressed. Because often limited, by fluid itself, but limitations driving electronics inductance electromagnet, considered as well. define required transition from initial state 95% final state. Using triangle wave maintain constant velocity across damper, various currents ranging 0.5 2 A were applied resulting force was recorded. results show that, given decreases current increases. Results opposite trend: increases, To evaluate time, velocities 0.1 4 s−1 tested. that exponentially converging some value. Further analysis revealed result an artifact system. confirm this, series tests conducted which artificially altered. study indicate has significant damper.
