Towards an on-demand Simple Portuguese Wikipedia

摘要: The Simple English Wikipedia provides a simplified version of Wikipedia's articles for readers with special needs. However, there are fewer efforts to make information in other languages accessible large audience. This work proposes the use syntactic simplification engine high precision rules automatically generate Portuguese on demand, based user interactions main Wikipedia. Our estimates indicated that human can simplify about 28,000 occurrences analysed patterns per million words, while our system correctly 22,200 occurrences, estimated f-measure 77.2%.
