摘要: A digital IF to RF converter architecture with an VGA targeted for WCDMA transmitters is presented. The RFDAC consists of a 1.5-bits current steering DAC embedded semi-digital FIR filter and mixer LC load. controls the output power in 10 dB steps. prototype fabricated 0.18 mum CMOS technology achieves 0 dBm at 2 GHz 33 image rejection. measured rms EVM ACPR show system fulfills standard specifications WCDMA. chip draws 123.9 mA from 1.8 V supply. die area 0.8 times 1.6 mm2.
