摘要: Accelerator physics demands new acceleration principles which can make, much higher field gradients in regime than the conventional one has, typically, eE ≈ 10 MeV/m. High power lasers have potentiality to produce high gradients. However, they never be used as are, because of a transverse wave, no net energy increase expected an average. One possibility is convert wave into longitudinal accelerate particles by trapping them trough. In plasma, maximum intensity plasma reach $$ {E_{{\max }}} = 9.6 \times {10^{{ - 2}}}{n^{{\frac{1}{2}}}},\left( {V/m} \right) $$ (1) where n electron number density m-3. Therefore, if we take 1024 m-3, max 100 GeV/m obtained.
