摘要: The study examines effects of media synchronicity in a group problem-solving task. characteristics parallelism, immediacy feedback, and reprocessability are varied within text-based computer-mediated communication. hidden profile task requires groups to exchange unshared pieces information integrate them. Contrary expectations, asynchronous do not support the production information. Furthermore, result higher engagement integrating during discussion. Asynchronous decrease coherence discourse increase mental effort participants. Since indicate that impede integration process, is interpreted as compensatory effort.
