摘要: Abstract This paper is concerned with the statistical errors which are present when wind velocities in atmosphere determined by radar method known as spaced antenna technique. It assumed that (complex) data processed full correlation analysis (FCA). A theory first developed to give error determination of position maximum a cross-correlation function and value lag such auto-correlation falls equal crosscorrelation at zero lag. These basic quantities needed for application FCA. estimates tested variety numerically simulated shown be realistic. The results applied real and, using standard techniques propagation errors, they lead derived velocities. In order test these estimates, an experiment was carried out two independent determinations were made simultaneously. differences used obtain experimental errors. found overestimates about 50%. Possible reasons this discussed.
