摘要: Imaging with nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is a sensitive indicator of the location and extent brain edema [1, 2]. Indeed, preliminary studies indicate that NMR imaging gives better definition mass effects than achievable at present X-ray computed tomography (CT) 3]. CT information only on tissue density (i.e., coefficient linear absorption), whereas proton provides related to mobile hydrogen its relaxation behavior; i.e., longitudinal (T1) transverse (T2) times. The corresponding rates are given as 1/T1 1/T2.
