摘要: OBJECTIVE: To report the clinical characteristics, treatment and complication of Warthin tumors. METHODS: we conducted a retrospective study 70 patients undergoing resection papillary lymphomatous cystadenoma. Variables: age, sex, ethnicity, presence or absence smoking, primary site tumor, tumor size in cm, bilateral type operation, multicentricity, complications, recurrence follow up. RESULTS: Forty-four (62.8%) were male 26 (37.2%) female, with mean age 56.7; smoking was present 55 (78.6%) patients; 66 (94.3%) tumors unilateral four (5.7%) bilateral, an average 4.1 cm on physical examination. The complications 14 (19%) cases facial paresis / paralysis, seroma 10 (13.8%), Frey's syndrome three (4%), hematoma two (2.7%) wound infection one (1.5%) case. CONCLUSIONS: have higher incidence smokers predominantly location parotid gland. Superficial parotidectomy preservation nerve effective 100% cases. Complications transient seroma, Frey syndrome, infection.
