摘要: To study morphological changes in the cortex that follow repeated ischemia, one, two, and three 7-min unilateral occlusions of carotid artery at 6-h intervals, three, four, five similar 12-h intervals were produced gerbils. Animals with one two showed selective neuronal necrosis cortex; those focal infarction third layer cortex. necrosis; four layer. In animals 12 h affecting all layers was seen. Results present indicate cortical occurred when a brief ischemic insult does not cause any visible damage neurons inflicted repeatedly, development following episodes ischemia depended on both number insults time between them. This finding suggests there is threshold ischemia. our model, various stages brain injury could be achieved more easily than transient by altering or model suitable for studying pathophysiology transition from to infarction.
