摘要: Abstract Knowledge of food and nutrient consumption patterns over time is important to various types research related the health well-being population. To ensure that trend analyses are meaningful, databases must be updated frequently incorporate latest information. Systems should also in place categorize track changes occur as updated. The Food Surveys Research Group at USDA has implemented a Survey Nutrient Database for Trends Analysis use with surveys United States. Within this system, items may added, or existing revised. “Data Improvements”, such new values representing improved analytical methods, replace applied retroactively previous analyses. Revisions classified actual “Food Changes” inserted into database, older remaining represent they previously existed. Dates accompany each database value indicate period which it valid. Since 1985, 30 000 revisions have been made values. Package sizes, portion weights, names, recipes used calculations tracked within system.
