摘要: The catalytic effect of MnII ions on the pseudo-first-order rate constants (kobs) for chromic acid oxidations malic and oxaloethanoic acids (an oxidation product acid) has been studied spectrophotometrically at 25 °C. rates show a first-order dependence CrVI concentration each reductant. order with respect to [malic acid] was found lie between 1 2, [oxaloethanoic acid]. increased markedly increasing [MnII] in both cases. effects have ascribed one-step three-electron process which termolecular complex is formed reductant, HCrO−4. intermediate CrIV ruled out; details such are discussed. Mechanisms accordance experimental data proposed reactions.
