摘要: It is known that the empirical coupling constant g A ′ characterizing axial-vector (or, Gamow-Teller) strength in nuclear beta-decay reduced relative to free-nucleon value gA determined from neutron decay. This reduction, which was first estimated by WILKINSON [1], arises largely pionic contributions and hence one of examples sub-nucleonic effects physics. Very approximately may say part effect comes virtual hole-delta pairs another second-order core polarization brought about tensor force, itself predominantly due one-pion exchange. Papers dealing with these problems, references earlier work, can be found publication [2].
