摘要: Abstract Reactive sintering involving a displacement reaction between aluminium and CuO powders was applied to fabricate an based composite. The two were mixed in ball mill uniaxially pressed before nitrogen atmosphere at 900 °C. During occurred, which resulted situ synthesis of alumina particles. Differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), optical scanning electron microscopies used investigate the phase microstructural changes taking place during processing Results revealed that no chemical occurred milling Al2O3 developed stages compact. Below 700 °C, amorphous formed transformed crystalline higher temperature. Aging response composite examined as function time temperature range 180–220 °C. Composite attained peak hardness value 133 Hv after 4 h aging 200 °C.
