摘要: Caliciviruses and astroviruses, along with rotavirus, are regarded as important causes of viral gastroenteritis. Surveillance studies using recently developed molecular diagnostic methods have also highlighted the importance human astroviruses other underreported pathogens pediatric acute Epidemiological information on caliciviruses is providing data required to assess economic burden disease justify development prevention strategies, including vaccination. A section describes what now known about activation innate responses after both nonhuman calicivirus infections, specifically emphasizes effect that antiviral might restricting norovirus propagation in vitro. To date, role immunity controlling infections caused by has been demonstrated for murine (MNV) porcine enteric (PEC), but only limited available confirm this noroviruses. As positive-sense RNA viruses, there several steps replication cycle where cellular machinery could detect foreign components. Exploration interplay between interferon (IFN) response not will help us better understand pathogenesis can result novel vaccination strategies therapies. This chapter concludes a few remarks meant stimulate discussion future astrovirus responses.
