摘要: In this paper we look at relationships between design, science and deliberation in urban regional planning. Each of these activities can be used to inform policy, either isolation or different forms combinations. The combinations usually involve hierarchies, which use the framework one activity integrate others. Such hierarchies create an unbalance among three activities, resulting a competition for integration monopoly, therefore ineffective cooperation. There is lack theory that would allow us combine equivalent way. Based on experiences Delft Interfaculty Research Program ‘The Ecological City’, propose transdisciplinary model, conceives as learning processes follow same sequence creative, descriptive normative steps. From perspective, are complementary integrated group process. model assigns roles supports planning team establishing common orientation adapting methods goal. Applications have shown only works if participants work with articulated methods, limitations made explicit, accept superiority over disciplinary rigour, involves all engaging both integrating serving role.
