摘要: A systematic revision of the Cainozoic Trigoniidae (Mollusca:Bivalvia) reveals that family is represented by two genera: Eotrigonia (Paleocene-Late Miocene), known only from southern Australia with species E. paleocenica sp. nov., eocenica tubulifera (Tate), intersitans (Tate) and subundulata (Jenkins) (= semiundulata Jenkins, = granosa Pritchard lutosa Pritchard); Neotrigonia (Middle Miocene-Recent) fossil N. acuticostata (McCoy) trua Cotton), howitti (McCoy), medipontea strangei (A. Adams), margaritacea (Lamarck) uniophora (Gray), which latter three are found living. novaguineana Skwarko occurs in Neogene New Guinea. Both genera placed Trigoniinae. evolved Trigonia s.s. latest Cretaceous or earliest Tertiary Oligocene early Miocene. neotype designated for Jenkins. miriana Skwarko, a possible ancestor ...
