摘要: The treatment of drug-resistant mycobacterial disease requires excellent laboratory technology combined with an effective means monitoring patients for drug toxicity and assuring patient compliance in treatment. Most tuberculosis is readily treated easily administered, well-tolerated antituberculous combination medications such as isoniazid-ethambutol hydrochloride or isoniazid-rifampin. Primary prevalent many developing countries; resistance the United States generally acquired through inadequate irregular ingestion. Drug-resistant "atypical" mycobacterioses required carefully designed regimens based on accurate susceptibility studies. Occasionally, certain types infection will have isolated pulmonary involvement which surgical extirpation beneficial. Despite continued decline incidence tuberculosis, atypical has remained constant may eventually become most mycobacteriosis States. ( Arch Intern Med 139:1399-1401, 1979)
