摘要: The present invention relates to a method and system for supporting in router plurality of data flows using ternary content addressable memory (TCAM) (30) which the number accesses write TCAM is optimized improve efficiency updating subsequent look up. To accommodate flows, partitioned into at least two partitions first portion includes indices (32) having higher priority second lower priority. For example, multiple protocol label switching (MPLS) IP-Virtual Private Network (VPN) (36) can be added partition policy based routing partition. During look-up prefix an incoming packet MPLS or IP-VPN flow will subsume any matching flow, such as classified by access control list traffic manager flows.
