摘要: The authors demonstrate more than 9nm tunability of the whispering gallery modes (WGMs) rhodamine B doped water microdroplets resting on a superhydrophobic surface. Tunability was achieved by controlling size in current controlled mini humidity chamber. WGMs were observed with quality factors 8000 when kept stable. sensitivity resonances to and shape microdroplet reveals opportunities for use this technique as probe characterize surfaces investigate liquid-solid surfaces.
