摘要: UNLABELLED The evolution of prolactinomas in children and adolescents continues to be controversial. We report on the long-term (2-20 yr) 40 patients (29 F, 11 M). In females, age for onset symptoms ranged between 8 16 yr at which diagnosis was made from 15 19 yr; males, ages 17 13.8 yr, respectively. there predominance microprolactinomas (22/ 29) symptomatology resulted functional disorders, whereas males macroprolactinomas (8/11) were caused by tumor mass disorders. Surgery used as primary therapy nine supplemental six patients. Twenty-four treated primarily with bromocriptine seven cabergoline. Of surgery, only one achieved gonadotropic axis restoration; 25/31 receiving drug function restored normal. Fifteen showed complete resolution or substantial shrinkage tumor. CONCLUSION pediatric adolescent age, seem age- sex-dependent differences clinical presentation that cannot accounted terms time evolution. Drug can control disease, normalize prolactin levels achieve restoration most
