摘要: Cylindrospermopsin (CYN) is increasingly recognized as a potential threat to drinking water safety, due its ubiquity. This cyanotoxin has been found cause toxic effects in mammals, and although fish could be contact with this toxin, acute toxicity studies on are nonexistent. the first study showing that single doses of CYN pure standard (200 or 400 μg CYN/kg bw) by oral route (gavage) generate histopathological (Tilapia-Oreochromis niloticus) exposed toxin under laboratory condition. Among morphological changes, disorganized parenchymal architecture liver, dilated Bowman's space kidney, fibrolysis heart, necrotic enteritis intestines, hemorrhages gills, were observed. Moreover, some oxidative stress biomarkers liver kidney tilapias altered. Thus, exposure induced increased protein oxidation products both organs, NADPH oxidase activity was significantly being most affected organ, decreased GSH contents also detected at higher dose assayed.
