摘要: Speciation has been considered as a primary process contributing to species diversity, but its contribution the diversity of local communities not fully appreciated. Based on theory classic island biogeography, we derived model for number endemic function processes immigration, speciation, and extinction. The shows that endemism an is proportional speciation rate decreases with sum immigration extinction rates (i.e., turnover rate). predicts richness in time, while increases time. It further only when larger than half can new added from eventually surpass those immigration. We conclude that, although leads apparent positive relationship between percentage island, this endemics-diversity necessarily driven by speciation.
