摘要: A protector for a light tube, particularly an ultra violet sun bed lamp or fluorescent lighting tube is made of flexible plastics material such as PVC, acrylic polyethylene and encloses the making contact with it at least spaced positions, so to contain any glass fragments if should shatter. Several embodiments are described including use of loose sleeve (l0) retained by circlips (l3) extruded (l4) having internal ribs (l5) providing partial spacing from surface tube (ll), sheath being extruded over sized and shrunk onto application heat applied either externally using itself heat source. In alternative form, PVC sleeve (l6) expanded compressed air that light (ll) can be inserted, then retur­ ning its normal size. further alternative, self-shrinking cellulose used in soaked water expand it dried shrink tube.
