摘要: An in situ oil shale retort is formed a subterranean formation containing shale, horizontally extending void excavated within the boundaries of site leaving zone unfragmented above and/or below such void, at least one pillar left side for providing temporary support overburden explosively expanded so that principal portion fragments travel to and toward void. Accumulation sufficient adjacent can substantially offset tendency form mound thereby forming fragmented permeable mass particles with reasonably flat upper surface. Such retorted produce oil.
