摘要: Abstract Characteristics of a vertical jet fire in reduced pressure atmosphere (at high altitude) have not been quantified the literatures. In atmosphere, air/oxygen density is lower, which turn affects both combustion and entrainment, hence axial temperature profile diffusive turbulent fire. Experiments conducted this work to investigate profiles propane buoyant fires produced by nozzles with diameters 4–10 mm reduced- (0.64 atm) normal (1 atm) atmosphere. It found that maximum flame zone bit higher, decreases faster vertically somewhat lower plume than those pressure. The virtual origin then deduced clarified be larger pressure, however, it can correlated non-dimensionally Froude number ( Fr f ) 2/5 power law function for these two pressures.
