摘要: Objective: We explored the impacts of an integrated video production and service learning curriculum in a health promotion course on: a) student learning, critical thinking media literacy skills; b) furthering local agencies’ community organizations’ goals objectives to promote public health. Methods: Focus groups in-depth interviews were conducted with students collaborating organizations agency staff. A sample 12-14 randomly selected from among 57 who had completed undergraduate production-service project participated focus groups. Semi-structured key contacts partner that collaborated guide videos’ core contents. group interview guidelines guided by Engagement Theory’s three components that: 1) occurs social context (Relate), 2) work should be hands-on project-based (Create), 3) have authentic outside nonacademic (Donate). Results: Students’ communication, time management skills, understanding issues strongly affected as result team collaborative works peers, center staff, staff (relate). Production process was viewed difficult intense but rewarding purposeful at end (create). Community ongoing use short videos regarded quite beneficial (donate). Students particularly motivated harder on their projects produce higher quality since these would public. Conclusion: systematic integration module curricula could greatly improve education, training, educators other professionals. Linking need for communication material provides under-resourced organizations.
